Delft China and Lake Michigan

Yesterday we visited a place in Holland, Michigan called The Dutch Village. It was a theme park that was a recreation of an old Dutch village and farm. It was interesting in the fact that they had people in native Dutch costume performing actual tasks that were done long ago in Holland, including cheese making, the making and firing of Delft China, wooden shoe making/carving, and a few other things. In the afternoon, I played golf.

We left this morning and drove north near the Lake Michigan shoreline and are now located in Manistee, Michigan. This evening, we drove a couple of miles to the local beach and hoped to see a sunset across Lake Michigan, but it was too cloudy. People in this area comment about how hot and muggy it is right now. It got up to 82 yesterday and was 58 last night, with low humidity. Oh Darn!!!
