Today we drove 125 miles around the peninsula that has the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore. Most of the roads were nice and paved, some were not quite that good (see photos). It was a very good day. We stopped for coffee in a small town that was just crawling with people. I asked a waitress if there was some event there, and she said, no it was just a typical summer day. The small towns in that area are just swarming with tourists! It was TUESDAY, and you had to search for a parking spot. There were several towns like this.
Sandy's "condition" continues to improve. She felt better today than she has in a long time. Maybe the bad part is over. We plan to continue the trip, and just take it one day at a time, and just one ice cream cone at a time :^)
